POINTS TESTED – INDEPENDENT
This visa is for applicants who nominate an occupation on the Medium and Long Term Strategic Skill List (MLTSSL). You do not need sponsorship to apply for this visa. You can live in any part of Australia once the visa is granted.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Have an occupation on the MLTSSL (see above)
Have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation
Satisfy the points test with a score of 65 points or more
Be invited by Department of Home Affairs to apply
Be under 45 years
Have a competent level of English language
Meet the skills requirement
Meet Australia's Health and Character requirement
Have paid back any debts to the Australian Government
Sign the Australian values statement
Not had a visa cancelled to refused
